Football training sets: what to check before ordering
Compare top, bottoms, measurements and included pieces when enquiring about football training wear.
Define the pieces you want
Training wear can be pictured as a top, trousers, shorts or a complete set. A photo with two pieces does not automatically establish what the quote includes. Ask the seller to list every included garment and use the individual reference link. This is especially useful when comparing a half-zip top with a full tracksuit.
Measure tops and bottoms separately
For the top, compare flat chest width, body length and sleeve length with a garment you own. For trousers, ask for the relaxed waistband measurement, inseam and overall length. Do not carry a familiar shirt size across to the bottoms without checking; a matching colour does not establish matching fit.
Check the details needed for training
Inspect the zipper, cuffs, waistband and pockets in current close-up photos. Ask about the exact fabric and care instructions of the selected item instead of inferring performance from a club crest or a product title. If you plan to exercise in the set, explain how you intend to use it.
Build an order by garment and size
List the reference, pieces required, top size, bottom size and quantity. Keep adult and children’s sets on separate rows. Ask the seller to confirm whether mixed top and bottom sizes are possible for that reference before requesting a final delivered quote.
Top, shorts or trousers: make the unit clear
Two training references can show similar colours but include different garments. Use a small specification sheet to keep the set contents and the fit of each piece visible.

| Part | Record | Useful detail to request |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Type of top, chest width, body length and sleeve length | Front view, neckline or zip, and measuring points. |
| Bottoms | Shorts or trousers, relaxed waistband and length | For trousers, distinguish inseam from overall length. |
| Set | List every included garment | Confirm whether the quoted unit is one set or one piece. |
| Size combination | Requested top size and bottom size | Confirm whether that combination can be supplied. |
Example: five sets is not five individual garments
This is a quantity example, not a description of a particular product: if a quoted set contains one top and one pair of trousers, five sets mean five tops plus five pairs of trousers. Write the contents before multiplying the quantity.
Training reference: __ Requested contents per set: 1 top + 1 pair of trousers Top size: __ | Bottom size: __ | Quantity: 5 complete sets Expected garment count if these contents are confirmed: 10 Please confirm set contents and whether this size combination is available.
Keep a shorts set on a different line from a trousers set. If you need a particular pocket, zip or cuff, attach a close-up request to that line rather than assuming the same detail appears across the collection.

Common questions
Does a set photo mean both garments are included?
Not necessarily. Ask for the contents of the exact quoted reference in writing.
Can I order different sizes for the top and bottoms?
Ask about the selected reference. Do not assume that split sizes are supported for every set.
More questions about your selection
Are inseam and overall trouser length interchangeable?
No. Inseam runs along the inside leg; overall length is measured along the outside from the waistband. State which measurement you are comparing.
How should I list a training top ordered without the matching bottoms?
Label the line “top only” and confirm that the seller can supply and quote that item separately.
